Happy Birthday, Mom!

This week we celebrated mom’s 70th birthday! It’s still hard to believe she is now 70. What?!

And...since my dad is no dummy...the same day is also their anniversary. One less date for him to remember. 😉 And he choose my mom for a wife. He chose...wisely.

So thankful for their devotion and love to each and their Savior. The last 13 years haven’t been easy for either of them. But faith doesn’t make life easy; faith makes it possible. Today’s picture gives a teeny glimpse into their current lives. As much as their honeymoon picture is my all-time favorite photograph; I guarantee their love for each other runs far deeper in this year’s photo than in their youth. “For better or worse, in sickness and in health.” Wedding vows aren’t...for better or best, in health and only health. That’s easy. That’s not love. Love is rare, especially in our culture. “Love is not self-seeking...Love always perseveres.” I Cor. 13:5&7 Thanks, Dad, for preserving with joy, tender kindness, and compassion. Thanks for modeling true love.
